Archifest 2014 is opening in Singapore on 26 September and will run for two weeks till the 11 October.
Intitiated in 2007 by Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), archifest is a festival of ideas for the city in its eight year running.
The Festival, organised by the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) it’s in its eighth year running and it includes among the initiatives, a Conference, an Urban Lab, ArchiTours open to all citizens, a Fringe festival and an Expo.
The theme for this year is Crowd.
Crowd will be a festival about people. It is also about process – the process of bringing together great minds and resources to create better places for everyone. Crowd carries different meanings in different contexts.
Discussion will be fostered around two main themes: Collective Intelligence and Community Capital, and the role of the architect when he or she confronts with these challenges.
Juan will be one of the speakers at the 4th of October event CROWDED, which gathers professionals from a broad architecture context for an informal, open chat. Among the participant, together with nerei director, we will meet SUTD, Ong&Ong, and many others.
